KINDNESS IS THE NEW COOL!

May is known as the Mental Health Month.. The best way to support someone going through a hard time is being kind. When you are kind to someone they feel worthy. Obviously everyone likes someone who is kind. Being kind doesn't only makes others happy but also makes you happy
Kindness doesn't only affects mentally but also physically
Kindness compassion leads to release of 'oxytocin hormone' ( love hormone❤️)
'serotonin hormone' (happy hormone😊 ) which improves reduces blood pressure and improves heart health

Being kind makes you feel good about yourself, when you feel good about yourself, your body works in the best way! You must have experienced that when you are happy you are full of energy
Kindness not only helps you to connect to others but to yourselves too!
oh and yes kindness may seem all about others, but being kind to yourself is the secret ingredient
When you are kind to yourself your giving area increases. The more you give the more you receive. The more you are kind to yourself, the more you are kind to others. It is a never ending circle!
But the result is only one - A beautiful, kinder world❤️🌍

The first step of being kind is - Do no harm - not to others, nor to yourselves!
Think before you act. you never know how your words can affect someone
Be kind by words and by actions

Here are 5 ways by which you can be kind to someone-

1. Write thank-you notes❤️

Random thank-you notes to someone you are grateful for. Its always the little things that matters- to your mom because she makes food for you, for your dad because he brought your favorite chocolate, for your friend because she took care of your bag when you were away. Its always the little things
Thank yourself too, when you clean your wardrobe or when you drink water! when you appreciate and show gratitude to someone they will be happy to do the work again

2. Talk and introduce yourself💭

Talk and introduce yourself to a new student or a new employee or someone new in society-
People in new places are often shy to ask and introduce themselves! When you make them feel welcomed, they feel accepted and they start to feel good!

3. Remember to smile at least to one stranger everyday😃

You can do this after the lock-down ends. When someone smiles at you, you stop thinking about all the worries for a moment and smile back at them too ( even if you don't know them ). Once I read a story about a guy who was going to suicide, he wrote in his letter, " If at-least one person smiled at me while going through the bridge, i will walk back to my home" Unfortunately, no one smiled at him and he died. You never know what someone is going through. So keep smiling!

4. Help someone learn something📖

It may be your friend who is weak in math, your grandparents who can't use phone, your younger sibling in his studied. When you give something, you always receive . May be not in the same way but definitely receive! Share your knowledge, you will get back

5. Learn the art of active listening👂

Sometimes the other just wants someone who listens. No complaints, No advice, No judgement, just listen. Active listening doesn't only mean listening to the words, but comprehensing those words, understanding why the person is saying those words, what he is feeling! Do it on a call or video call or in person, cause you cant understand the emotions behind those lifeless chats!

Bonus tips💰

Keep record of all the kind deeds you do so that you can reflect back after sometimes!
Don't forget to be kind to yourself too!
Eat well, sleep well, exercise well, mediate well, learn well!

Don't forget - Kindness is the new cool
